Gisella Padilla – Founder & Director. Elementary Lead
Gisella Padilla is a devoted mom of three adventurous boys, a passionate homeschooler, and a woman of many creative talents. As the founder of Living Stones Las Vegas – a Christ-centered homeschool community, she’s committed to cultivating a nurturing and faith-filled learning environment for families.
When she’s not teaching or leading worship, Gisella pours her heart into her two small businesses—a loose leaf tea company and a handmade jewelry brand, both inspired by her love for art and everything homemade.
In her free time, Gisella loves crafting with her kids, starting new projects, diving into creative crafts, writing songs, and spending quality time with her family. Whether she’s in the kitchen, her craft room, or out in the community, Gisella thrives on creating, encouraging others, and building meaningful connections.

Angela Slaman – Co-Director & Intermediate Lead
Angela Slaman, originally from Sacramento, California, has called Las Vegas home since 1991. For 27 years, she built a successful career at a major casino on the Las Vegas Strip, demonstrating dedication and excellence in her field. However, her heart has always been in childhood education.
As a mother of two middle school boys, Angela was inspired to begin homeschooling when the public school system no longer met her expectations. In their second year of homeschooling, she co-founded a Christian homeschool co-op, creating a faith-based, supportive space for families on the same journey. Her experience in building and leading a co-op from the ground up makes her a valuable addition to Living Stones Las Vegas, bringing insight, organization, and a heart for service.
Beyond education, Angela is deeply involved in her sons’ lives—managing her younger son’s flag football team and cheering on her older son at jiu jitsu matches. She is passionate about nurturing her boys’ academic and personal growth while continuing to serve and uplift families in the homeschool community.
